Community & Partnerships

Supporting our community through sport, learning and social action

DPS is committed to both the local community and its charity work. Improving Mary Datchelor Playing Fields is part of this commitment; with these proposals, access to high-quality sports facilities for local people and 3,500 school pupils from both DPS and the neighbouring Kingsdale will improve significantly.​

Kingsdale is an academy school that offers scholarships for new entrants who show sporting talent. It is a founding member of Southwark School’s Learning Partnership.​

​​

The Mary Datchelor Playing Fields are shared between Kingsdale and DPS to deliver their sports and outdoor education programmes. ​

DPS also contributes to the local community and charities. In 2024, the school raised funds for a number of charities including Great Ormond Street Hospital, homeless charities and a sponsored swim for Movember.

DPS’s partnerships with Kingsdale, Tulse Hill Football Club and other groups expand access to sport for local children and facilities on site.​​

 

DPS provides means-tested bursaries every year which are means-tested grants to help families afford private school, with bursaries of over £460k in 2025.
