Creating better outdoor spaces
As part of the proposals, improvements will also be made to landscaping, including:

Woodland fitness trail

Upgraded access routes and pathways
We are also exploring the opportunity for outdoor gym equipment and vertical play features.
These additions will improve wellbeing, accessibility and enjoyment for pupils and visitors.
A more biodiverse, sustainable green space
The proposals would deliver at least a 10% Biodiversity Net Gain, through:

Integrated ponds and swales aiding drainage

New planting and woodland enhancements

Rewilded areas and species-rich grasslands

SuDS pond and wet habitats

Improved tree coverage

Low-energy, efficient pavilion design

Opportunities for grey water recycling systems
These improvements would enrich the environment, support outdoor learning and respond to flooding issues on the site.
