Landscaping & Biodiversity

Creating better outdoor spaces

As part of the proposals, improvements will also be made to landscaping, including:

​​

  • Woodland fitness trail

  • Upgraded access routes and pathways​​​

​

We are also exploring the opportunity for outdoor gym equipment and vertical play features.

 

These additions will improve wellbeing, accessibility and enjoyment for pupils and visitors.

A more biodiverse, sustainable green space​

 

The proposals would deliver at least a 10% Biodiversity Net Gain, through:​

 

  • Integrated ponds and swales aiding drainage

  • New planting and woodland enhancements

  • Rewilded areas and species-rich grasslands

  • SuDS pond and wet habitats

  • Improved tree coverage

  • Low-energy, efficient pavilion design

  • Opportunities for grey water recycling systems​

 

These improvements would enrich the environment, support outdoor learning and respond to flooding issues on the site.
